CAT STANCE

Left or Right Cat

When one leg is in front of the other

Transfer all the weight on to one leg letting the knee bend slightly then slide the other foot back letting the knee bend slightly while keeping the sole of the foot flat on the ground, then when the toes of the foot have moved to where the heel was raise the heel up letting the knee gently bend a bit further but do not transfer any weight onto the toes, keeping the back straight, shoulders relaxed, eyes looking forwards in the near distance.

NOTES

Always keep a small gap in-between your feet leaving enough room for your hips to face straight forward keeping you evenly balanced and your feet grounded keeping the body upright and centred. When you raise the heel up do not raise the rest of the body up.
